We started our journey at Euston this evening, excited and eager to go. Jo, Charlie, Rich and I with a reasonable amount of kit, Simon and Ben with a rucksack each and a box of army ration packs to get us through the first few days and Tom, well the question was really where was Tom's kit?! He literally has a sandwich bag of kit!
We arrived onto the relatively spacious train, pick our seats and settled down for the 11 hour journey to Inverness. Banter has been flowing yet there is a sense that the nerves are kicking in. Dinner consisted of copious amounts of pasta salad, a block of cheese, some wraps, 2 cans of Stella and some rum filled chocolates. Surely that will set us up for one of the toughest challenges we're about to face.
We managed to pick Pete at Crewe station and despitre almost leaving both him and Rich behind are beginning to settle down for the night. Simon has his hard trance blaring out, eye patches are going on yet there is a pretty slim chance of getting comfy enough to get a decent nights sleep, but we'll see!
